Oliver Falck is Head of the ifo Center for the Economics of Innovation and Digital Transformation and Professor of Economics, specializing in empirical innovation economics, at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.

On the occasion of his appointment to the EFI, Oliver Falck said: “Germany needs better framework conditions for innovation in the high-tech sector – this is the only way we can secure growth and highly productive employment. I look forward to working with the other commission members to develop evidence-based policy recommendations for research and innovation.”
