Through a competitive selection process, and as part of a grant from the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology, and Space (BMFTR), the Technical University of Munich was awarded the role of host for the 2029 PartWiss conference.

TransforM will coordinate the conference together with our Public Technology Lab and partners at the Technical University of Munich: the Public Science Lab, TUM School of Medicine and Health, TUM School of Social Sciences and Technology, TUM Think Tank, MCube – Munich Cluster for the Future of Mobility in Metropolitan Regions.

The 2029 theme: “Partizipative Infrastrukturentwicklung – Junge Menschen machen Zukunft”.

The focus is on people under 30, not as a homogeneous group, but in the full diversity of their lived experiences. Together with a “Youth Board” and a student project team, the conference invites communities working in participatory and transdisciplinary ways.

The question we will explore: how can infrastructures and their technical requirements be designed in collaboration with the people who will live with them in the future?
