TransforM DEI Officer
Caitlin Corrigan: c.corrigan@tum.de
TransforM pursues a state-of-the-art data collection, storage, and sharing strategy that follows DFG guidelines on research data management. All data collection, processing, analysing, and archiving as well as all advancements of models, methods, and metrics follow the FAIR (Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, and Reusability) data principles.
The TransforM research agenda on the relationship between technological transformations (TTs) and societal change tackles sustainability head-on: How can we ensure that any technological transformation contributes to the sustainability targets we have committed to? How can we reduce the unintended consequences of technological transformations, particularly in terms of environmental and social sustainability?
TransforM’s work in living and community labs, engaging with a wide variety of stakeholders and diverse publics, integrates deeply with TUM’s overall sustainability strategy. Addressing sustainable innovation and socio-political responsibilities locally first can become a conduit for thinking about scale and global impact.
We will work closely with the TUM sustainability office to develop targeted measures to minimise our resource footprint while maximising community building and a sense of shared ownership of the transformative process.
