On May 19, the Entrepreneurship Research Institute had the pleasure of welcoming Anne Domurath and Simon Taggar from Wilfrid Laurier University for an insightful research talk.

It was especially meaningful to welcome Anne back to TUM, where she completed her Ph.D. before continuing her academic career in Canada.

Their presentation explored the role of team pivoting in venture building, emphasizing that pivoting is far more than a strategic shift. The discussion highlighted the collective nature of entrepreneurial adaptation: how teams interpret feedback, navigate uncertainty, and evolve together throughout the venture-building process.

A sincere thank you to Anne Domurath and Simon Taggar for the inspiring exchange and for sparking such a thoughtful conversation on venture teams, mentorship, and entrepreneurial learning.
